For this reason, we are developing our natural cosmetic and aromatic containers according to the PEFC forest certification. Since it guarantees and promotes the sustainable management of the forests from which the wood is obtained.
In addition and following this ecological philosophy, we can affirm that all our cosmetic products are Cruelty Free, which means that they are not tested on animals or contain ingredients of animal origin.
We are not satisfied with this, we are also modifying the internal manufacturing processes and we seek to achieve 100% Renewable Energy.
In this way we want to contribute as much as possible, to protect forest ecosystems and to reduce the negative impact it may have on the environment.
How can we guarantee these aspects?
There are certifications that assure consumers that we are buying products whose composition and production is respectful of the environment and that requires the standard by which it is certified.
Currently, we have numerous ecological certifications, such as forestry, BioInspecta and energy certification.
Forest certifications stand out because they guarantee the sustainable origin of cardboard and wood containers, as well as the responsible management of the supply chain.
What are Forest Certifications and what are they for?
These certifications assure the consumer that the wood or any other forest product used by the industry comes from a forest managed in a responsible and sustainable way. In this way they guarantee the correct management of natural resources.
It is a necessary procedure to ensure the use of legal and sustainable raw materials. In addition, it allows us to differentiate forest products managed responsibly from others from illegal, unsustainable and irresponsible logging.
FSC and PEFC Certifications
The two main Forest Certification systems are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Forest Administration Council and the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) or Forest Certification Systems Recognition Program.
Each certification has its own characteristics:
FSC certificate
It is an independent, international and non-profit organization. Its objective is to promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management in forests around the world. This is achieved through forest certification and product labeling systems.
The FSC logo guarantees to the final consumer that the paper has been produced in a sustainable way and that, with its purchase, contributes to the conservation of forests.
PEFC certificate
It is an international non-profit organization and open to everyone’s participation. It promotes the sustainable management of forests to achieve a social, economic and environmental balance of them.
In this way, it offers security to consumers that the forest products they use come from sustainably managed forests. PEFC distinguishes with its seal the products from certified forests that have been subject to strict controls in their production process, through the PEFC chain of custody.
